St Patrick High School - Adam Riley

Thunder Bay Police say a youth living in New Brunswick has been arrested in connection with a series of threats made against St. Patrick’s High School.

The threats forced the school to be placed in lockdown and eventually evacuated on December 11, 13 and 15.

Police say with the assistance of school resource officers and members of their Cyber Crime Unit they were able to identify the suspect in New Brunswick.

RCMP arrested the 14-year-old earlier this week.

The youth is charged with three counts of mischief, three counts of public mischief and two counts of uttering threats.

The Youth Criminal Justice Act prevents their identity from being publicly released.

They have since been released with conditions and a future court date.

Another youth is also facing charges in connection with some of the threats.

That person was arrested in early December on charges of mischief and public mischief.
