RCMP are investigating an alleged armed home invasion in Cole Harbour.

Police say that at about 10 p.m. on December 23rd, they responded to a report that a man and woman were inside a home on Bissett Road when two men entered, and one appeared to have a handgun.

One of the men who entered was struck unconscious and transported to hospital with an apparent life-threatening injury.

The other man, described as white, slim and wearing a face covering, fled before officers arrived.

No arrests have been made yet.
