Visitor restrictions imposed at LaVerendrye Hospital earlier this month have now been lifted.

Riverside Health Care says a COVID outbreak at the hospital’s First Floor In-patient unit is over.

The outbreak was first declared two weeks ago, prompting the need for visitor restrictions.

Riverside says it will continue to have safety procedures and infection prevention control practices in place.

The hospital is also urging all visitors to conduct a self-screening before entering.

Individuals experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms are asked not to visit unless seeking care.

Masks continue to be available at all Riverside Health Care hospitals and long-term care facilities for those wanting to wear one.
