Hundreds of Nova Scotia Power crews are still in the field today trying to restore electricity to thousands of Nova Scotians.

Customers have been in the dark since Monday’s rain and windstorm, which at its peak, had about 100 thousand in the dark.

The majority of the outages are scattered from Yarmouth all the way along the western coast up to the valley.

The utility says a large number are individual homes and small groups of customers, which take more time to restore.
