The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following hours and service schedules for the holidays.
Sunday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve)
Saint John Transit: No service after 6 p.m.
Saint John City Market: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
City arenas: Closing at 3 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 25 (Christmas)
All city offices including City Hall Customer Service Centre: Closed
Saint John Transit: No service
Saint John City Market: Closed
City arenas: Closed
Tuesday, Dec. 26 (Boxing Day)
All city offices including City Hall Customer Service Centre: Closed
Saint John Transit: No service
Saint John City Market: Closed
City arenas: Closed – except for free public Boxing Day Skate at the Stuart Hurley and Charles Gorman arenas.
Sunday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve)
Saint John Transit: Regular service
Saint John City Market: Closed
City arenas: Closing at 3 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day)
All city offices including City Hall Customer Service Centre: Closed
Saint John Transit: No service
Saint John City Market: Closed
City arenas: Closed
Solid waste collection:
Solid waste customers in the following areas will not have their recyclables collected on Christmas Eve nor garbage and compost collected on Christmas Day:
- Millidgeville Area– Center
- Millidgeville Area – West
- Boars Head Rd Area
- University Ave / Sussex Drive Area
- Pokiok Road / Tartan Street Area
Instead, solid waste customers in these areas should:
- Place recyclables curbside by 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22.
- Place garbage and compost curbside by 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23.
