A town councillor has been returned as chair of the Fort Frances Police Services Board.
John McTaggart was reappointed at the board’s meeting on Friday.
He will likely be the last to head the Fort Frances Police Services Board.
A new regional police service board is scheduled to be established in April.
Communities policed by the Ontario Provincial Police from Fort Frances to Rainy River will be represented.
The new board will have seven seats, made up of four municipally-elected members, two community members and one provincial appointee.
Exactly who will serve on the new board is to be determined.
