Cape Breton man facing over 70 charges in relation to human trafficking and sexual assault

A Cape Breton man is now facing over 70 charges including human trafficking and sexual assault.

RCMP say the 45-year -old from Dominion, was arrested December 6th facing 64 charges, as part of an investigation that began in 2021.

Females were being video recorded without their consent, which were then posted online.

Seventeen survivors had come forward reporting incidents that happened between 2008 and 2023.

Another survivor has come now forward, adding eight additional charges:

  • Posses a prohibited weapon knowing it was prohibited
  • Human Trafficking
  • Material Benefit from Human Trafficking
  • Unlawful Confinement
  • Sexual Assault
  • Administer a Noxious Thing
  • Obtain sexual services
  • Procuring a person to provide sexual services
