2 Nova Scotians are heading to the Under-18 World Women’s Hockey Championships.
Newellton, Cape Sable Island’s Jessica MacKinnon and Antigonish’s Rhyah Stewart will play for Team Canada at the event in January.
Stewart plays goal for the Cape Breton West Islanders in the U18 Major League, she also started a preseason game with the Cape Breton Eagles.
MacKinnon is in her second season at Ridley College in Ontario.
The tournament will be held in Switzerland.
