Two men have died from suspected drug use at separate homes in a small town in our province.
Police say it happened in Springhill between 10:41 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning.
Officers found pills, powder and drug paraphernalia at one home.
The men were 31 and 35.
“Street drugs often contain unknown substances and may be of various strengths or dosage. If you suspect an overdose or see someone in medical distress, call 911 immediately.” – Nova Scotia RCMP
Common signs of a drug overdose could include:
- Slow or absent breathing
- Blue or grey lips and fingers
- Dizziness and confusion
- Severe drowsiness or inability to wake a person up
- Snoring, choking or gurgling noises
The investigation into the deaths is in its early stages.
