The Borrowing Cupboard wants the community to know about the services it provides.

Theresa Bowen is chair of the board and says they are able to provide an assortment of medical devices patients at the hospital would normally have to purchase.

“We have everything from wheelchairs, to walkers, canes, crutches, commodes, toilet raisers…all those sorts of things,” says Bowen.

Bowen says they also medical equipment for patients who have had surgeries and have been discharged.

“We are finding now that with so many knee replacements happening and hip surgeries, that people need equipment for a short period of time.”

Bowen says the devices are available for a nominal cost and a deposit.

The Annual General Meeting for the Borrowing Cupboard is  being held tonight online, for anyone interested.
