City police are looking for any witnesses to hit and run at the intersection of Valley Street at Strand Avenue just before midnight on December 5.
However, it was not your typical hit-and-run as no pedestrians or other vehicles were involved.
So far, the investigation has revealed that a vehicle travelling south on Strand proceeding through the T-intersection struck an apartment building causing significant damage. The occupants of the apartment at the point of impact were not injured.
The vehicle, described as a lighter-coloured small car, then reversed and fled eastbound on Valley Street.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or has video footage in the area capturing the collision or showing the vehicle last seen heading east on Valley Street towards the expressway are asked to call police at 684-1200 or anonymously submit a tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com.
