The CPKC Holiday Train arrives in Thunder Bay on December 1 at 8:00 p.m.

Spokesperson Terry Cunha says over the past 24 years more than 22 and a half million dollars has been raised for food banks, and this year he adds, the need is as great as ever.

Over the year the Holiday Train has also raised more than 5 million pounds of food for community food banks.

The train will arrive at the CP depot on Syndicate Avenue for a 30-minute performance by the Anyway Gang, before heading west with stops in Ignace, Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Kenora and Ingolf throughout the day on Saturday, December 2.

Admission is a non-perishable food item or a cash donation.

The Holiday Train helps support area food banks during the holidays.
