A water main break has closed Rabbit Lake Road in Kenora.

In a post to social media the city says the roadway is closed at 342 for an emergency repair.

Only motorists who live in the area are permitted to travel from the Community Centre Road east to the dig site and from the Outen Lane west to the dig site at this time.

All other traffic is asked to find an alternate route until the repairs are completed.

No timeline as to when that completion will been released.
