The Sussex KOA Journey campground has won the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) President’s Award for the third consecutive year.

The award is presented to campgrounds meeting exceptional quality standards and who receive high customer service scores from their camping guests.

“It is definitely an honour, and teamwork gets us this award. It’s not one sole person we employ. It’s the front staff, custodians, the maintenance people, everyone who works at the campground,” said Sussex KOA Journey campground co-owner Don Monahan.

“Our goal and aim is to continue and win the president award because we want that customer to have the best experience and to choose KOA year after year when travelling through New Brunswick.”

Monahan received the honour during KOA’s annual International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 16.

KOA operates more than 500 locations throughout North America, including around three dozen in Canada.
