A man is facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing in Lake Echo.

Police were sent to a stabbing in Lake Echo on Saturday afternoon.

However, when they arrived, police found out a 47 year-old woman was stabbed the night before and she was sent to hospital with what is being described as life-threatening injuries.

Meantime, a 57 year-old Dartmouth man turned himself in on Sunday and is now facing various charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.

He is due in court on Monday.
