Not a good start for the two northwestern Ontario teams at the All-Ontario Championships.

The Red Lake Rams senior boys played their first game at the OFSAA Single A volleyball finals in Kitchener and were downed in two straight sets by Almaguin Highlands (25-22, 25-19).

The Rams also lost their second game earlier this afternoon 25-21, 25-14 and dropped their third game to Pere de Rene Galinee 25-18, 25-22.

Red Lake wraps up the round robin at noon against Notre Dame Catholic High School from Ottawa.

At the OFSAA Single A girls basketball championships, the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints were upended by Nicholson Catholic College from Belleville 56-14.

The Saints lost their second game against Norwood District High School 24-21.

The Saints will play again this afternoon at 4:30 on the consolation side of the draw.
