A public info session on deer in the Town of Yarmouth is coming up.

It’s happening Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Town Hall.

Some of the information on display will include deer/vehicle collision stats, deer resistant plants and other deterrent methods, and deer management options.

The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables will also be in attendance.

Gil Dares with the town’s Deer Management Working Group says a lot of communities are experiencing this.

“There are all kinds of them that have employed different strategies and we’ve researched those to see which ones might work here. A lot have very hefty costs associated with them,” said Dares.

The session will be a walk-around, booth style event offering specific topics and discussion at each booth.
