Write a letter to Santa and he’ll write back

By Regis Phillips Nov 20, 2023 | 10:18 AM

Canada Post once again will deliver letters to Santa.

Every year Santa Claus receives over a million letters from kids around the world.

Every letter gets read, and everyone who writes to him gets a letter back.

The program is open every year until the end of January.

Canada Post wants you to send your letter to Santa no later than December 7th to receive a reply before the holidays. Canada Post cannot guarantee delivery dates, but Santa does respond to all letters he receives.

Some of the guidelines Canada Post has for sending letters include:

  • Ensure your letter is addressed to Santa.
  • No stamps are required to mail a letter to Santa within Canada.
  • Include your return address and drop the letter in any Canada Post mailbox or post office.
  • Please mail all letters from one family in the same envelope.

Canada Post has been helping Santa with his mail for more than 40 years. Since the national program began, Santa’s North Pole Post Office has sent replies to more than 45 million letters in 39 languages, including Braille.
