Some good news for the Canadian Forces Base in Halifax.
A new training base is expected to be built and ready for 2029.
Defense Minister Bill Blair made the announcement at the Halifax International Security Forum.
It will cost $188 million.
That will cover the cost of design, demolition, construction and personnel.
It will have cutting edge training systems to train sailors for the incoming fleet of Canadian warships.
About 650 jobs will be created during construction.
We’re investing in defence in Halifax.
