One person has been killed following a collision on Highway 61 Tuesday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police and Superior North EMS were dispatched to the area south of Loch Lomand Road around 8:00 a.m.

The driver, a 36 year old woman from Slate River, was pronounced deceased on scene.

The highway was closed for a short period of time to allow for investigators and reconstructionists to begin the investigation, which remains ongoing.
