The St. Thomas Aquinas senior girls basketball team is a win away from advancing to the All-Ontario single “A” championships.

The Saints are hosting Manitouwadge in the best-of-three NWOSSA championship.

In the first game this afternoon, the Saints got by the Wolverines 51-29.

Maddyn Hughes and Sophie Muise each had 16 points in the win.

Game two is this evening at 6:00 and game three, if necessary is tomorrow at 9:30.
