Minister of Economic Development Susan-Corkum Greek has announced an investment of $3.8 million dollars to Volta.
Volta is where new businesses get their start and had a Grand Opening at its new space in Halifax, Tuesday.
“Volta has a proven track record of success when it comes to supporting entrepreneurs to launch and grow their startups,” said Minister Corkum-Greek. “This funding contributes to our active startup community and will help even more Nova Scotia businesses take risks, build momentum and thrive.”
The hub will use the funding of $750,000, each year for five years, for programs, mentorship, tools and support.
Volta was established in 2013 by a group of emerging technology entrepreneurs and currently supports 61 companies.
The agreement is in place until March 31, 2028.
