NorWOSSA “A” finals taking place today

The first medals have been handed out at the NorWOSSA “A” championships in Kenora.

The Red Lake senior boys volleyball team defeated the Northern Lakes Lightning from Atikokan three sets to one to win gold.

The Rams now head to Marathon for the NWOSSA championships next week.

Right now, Northern Lakes is taking on St. Thomas Aquinas in junior boys volleyball in the gold medal game.

 

Tomorrow, the NorWOSSA “AA” play-offs are taking place at Beaver Brae.

The junior girls volleyball semis start things off at 10:00 with the Fort Frances Muskies meeting the Dryden Eagles.

The winner will play the Sioux North Warriors.

Right after at 11:30, the senior girls basketball semifinal will feature the Dryden Eagles and the Sioux North Warriors.

The winner will advance to play the Fort Frances Muskies.

In boys volleyball playoffs, the Muskies will play the Warriors in the junior semifinal.

The winner will play the Broncos in the final.

Over the in senior semi, the Broncos will take on Sioux North, with the winner advancing to play the Muskies.
