It’s a busy time for the Wedgeport Legion.

Since the end of the First World War, the Wedgeport Church has hosted Remembrance Day services.

It will happen again on Saturday, starting with mass at 10 a.m, followed by the service at 11.

Legion member Andre Boudreau says there will be no COVID restrictions.

“We’ll be laying all the wreaths inside the church, as we used to do in the past. Family members are welcome. We’ll also have a service in Tusket at 9 a.m.” says Boudreau.

There will not be a banquet this year, but Legion members and guests are invited for chowder and sandwiches at the Legion hall.

He says they’ve also been busy attending schools, nursing homes and churches for Remembrance services this week.

Boudreau says the Legion has organized Canadian flags being placed on veterans graves through 20 cemeteries.
