Three youths from Cape Breton are facing charges after a vehicle crash in Lower Sackville.

RCMP say it was around 1:30am November 5 when an officer noticed a vehicle crashed into the cement barrier of Highway 101, facing the wrong direction.

The three youths then ran away from the scene, until police and the K9 unit arrested them at apartment on Old Sackville Rd.

The vehicle in the crash was a Hyundai Accent stolen from the Sydney area.

Two of them have been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and and Failure to Comply with a Release Order.

The third is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Obstructing a Peace Office.

All three appeared in Halifax Youth Justice Court Monday.

Two were remanded into custody and will attend court at a later date.

The third youth was released on conditions pending his next court appearance in Sydney Youth Justice Court.

There were no injuries.
