New literacy project increasing awareness of clean fuel opportunities

By Regis Phillips Nov 6, 2023 | 9:56 AM

The Atlantica Centre for Energy has created a new literacy project to raise awareness of future opportunities in clean fuels for post-secondary students and First Nation youth.

The Fuel 4 the Future (F4F) project includes an interactive learning website.

The website will let students learn about the three career pathways in the clean energy sector: clean hydrogen; biofuels; and renewable natural gas.

The project will connect with students through in-class activities and presentations, virtual events, awareness surveys, job fairs and more for an industry expected to see an increase of 700,000 net jobs starting in 2025.

“We are thrilled to be able to help connect Atlantic Canada’s future workforce with the clean fuels sector through this exciting initiative,” said Michelle Robichaud, president of the Atlantica Centre for Energy.
