Flair Airlines adding more Saint John flights in 2024

Flair Airlines will expand its seasonal service between Saint John and Toronto next year.

Garth Lund, chief commercial officer, said more weekly rotations are being added between the two cities.

“It’ll be increasing from three times weekly to four times weekly in the summer of 2024,” Lund said during a news conference on Wednesday.

The announcement comes just days after Flair wrapped up its Saint John-to-Toronto service for 2023, which ran on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from late May to late October.

Airport officials have been working with Flair to extend the airline’s season in Saint John.

Lund said they plan to keep the Saint John-to-Toronto route as a summer service — at least for now.

“I think we’d also like to extend it year-round in the future, so if we continue to see good performance in the summer, that is certainly something we’d be considering in the future,” he said.

Meanwhile, Flair is adding a sunshine destination route out of the Saint John Airport (YSJ) for the winter season.

The direct flight between YSJ and the Orlando Sanford International Airport will fly on Tuesdays between Jan. 23 and April 30.

It is the first sun destination flight out of the Saint John Airport in several years.
