Taste buds in Thunder Bay better be ready as Novemburger has returned for its 5th year in support of the United Way of Thunder Bay.
CEO Albert Brulé says the event has been very successful and as a result has expanded.
“This year we have 27 restaurant partners, some actually have two locations so I think we have 29 locations throughout Thunder Bay. Each restaurant creates its own unique burger. I challenge everyone…I challenge you! Get out there, 27 burgers in 30 days.”
$2.00 from each signature burger sold goes to support the United Way of Thunder Bay.
Brulé adds year after year the event continues to grow with more than $23k in funds.

Several new elements have been brought in this year including the Novemburger Voucher Program, which allows businesses with Novemburger Vouchers to give to their customers and Novemburger @ Work, which allows workplaces to order burgers for staff luncheons as part of a workplace campaign.
In addition to customers being able to enjoy a burger a number of Ambassadors, including Thunder Bay Fire Rescue’s Kevin Anderson, will taste test their way though the city and crown the ultimate Novemburger.
Anderson says he enjoys doing a little extra good for the city and has a strategy going into day one.
“What a great way to give back to the community, who doesn’t love a burger? So I’ll go around get the guys from work to come with me or bring friends, that’s my plan to really promote it, put it on social media and everybody wins.”
