Lakers dump the Islanders

For the second time in less than a week, the Fort Frances Lakers have beaten the Kenora Islanders.

The Lakers prevailed  5-1 Tuesday night at the Ice For Kids Arena.

Fort Frances got goals from five different players.

Brady Krentz got the Lakers on the board in the first period, while Ryker Watt and Cobe Delaney scored in the second period.

Trever Sanderson and Clark Scaddan scored in the third.

Tristen Bear scored the lone goal for the Islanders, who were outshot 62-21.

The Lakers are in Red Lake for a pair of games starting Friday night, while the Islanders take on the Bombers in Sioux Lookout on Saturday night.
