The MLA for Inverness is pleased to see some big commitments to improve cell service.

Allan MacMaster says it’s been on his list of priorities for 10 years and now feels there is movement to fix the problems.

The province announced just over $47 million last week to expand telecommunications services across the province.

The initiative will be led by Build Nova Scotia.

Issues with cell service and dead zones has been brought to the forefront after flash flooding, hurricanes and other major natural disasters have caused black outs.
