The Lake of the Woods Control Board has authorized an increase in outflow through the Norman Dam into the Winnipeg River.

It will take place today.

Outflow will go from 150 cubic meters per second up to 200.

As a result, water levels on the Winnipeg River will rise by 8 centimeters below the dam and 2 centimeters at the Dalles.

The despite the increase in outflow, Lake of the Woods is expected to be fairly stable over the next week.
