NBCC’s ‘Going Beyond’ campaign shatters $16M goal

NBCC students are benefiting greatly thanks to the nearly $22 million donated to the Going Beyond campaign.

More than 700 provincial organizations and individuals contributed to the campaign, which surpassed its $16 million goal.

The campaign was created in June 2022 to transform the province’s workforce, to help accelerate skills development and innovate educational delivery.

“The overwhelming support of the campaign demonstrates public confidence in the role NBCC plays as a leading post-secondary institution,” said Mary Butler, president and CEO of NBCC.

Funds will help NBCC upgrade training centres, technology and network capacity in 200 classrooms, and award more scholarships and bursaries.

Jim Irving, chair of the campaign and president of J.D. Irving, Ltd., said he is proud to be part of a campaign and business community that supports the future of our young people and our province.

“Keeping and growing talented young people here at home in New Brunswick is important to all aspects of our province’s future, and this campaign’s overwhelming success is a testament to that,” said Irving.
