Thunder Bay Police Cruiser - Acadia Broadcasting File

A 27-year-old Thunder Bay man has been charged with the possession of child pornography as well as accessing child pornography following a Cyber Crime Unit investigation.

The investigation into the suspected possession of child pornography by a resident began on September 28.

A search warrant was executed at a residential address on Johnson Avenue on October 18.

Police seized several electronic devices during the search.

Files located on some of the devices seized were believed to be consistent with child pornography.

The accused was arrested and taken into custody and appeared in bail court on Friday, October 20 before being released with conditions and a future appearance date.
