Curbside pickup of recycling materials in Fort Frances could resume next month.

Construction of a new building to house the materials at the recycling depot is well underway.

Town officials believe it should be ready for use by the end of the month.

The blue box program was halted in late May following an arson fire that destroyed the original building.

New washrooms at Legion Park are being installed this week.

It is one of the last projects taking place this year that is associated with the new splash park.

Further landscaping is also scheduled before snowfall.

An official grand opening is slated for the spring.

Work also continues on the expansion of the Sister Kennedy Centre.

The town says it is expected to wrap up sometime in November.
