A 33-year-old man is facing charges in relation to a stabbing and subsequent murder investigation in Dartmouth.

The stabbing happened a during a scuffle on Portland Street on Monday afternoon. The man was arrested shortly on second-degree murder.

The stabbing victim was taken to hospital and later died from injuries. He has been identified as 27-year-old Benjamin Ward Clattenburg.

Police are continuing to investigate the case. At this time, investigators do not believe that this was a random incident.
