The town of Fort Frances is looking for provincial funding to fix up a rough section of Third Street West that makes up the four-laners.

Work between the areas of Central and York Avenues would include new sewer and water lines, storm sewers, curb and gutters, and sidewalks.

The cost is estimated to be between $2.2 and $2.5 million.

The town is hoping Connecting Link funding will cover a large portion of construction costs.

The grant, if approved would cover up to 90 per cent.
