The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have been in existence for over 20 years and the hockey club now wants to document that.

A book is in the works about the history of the Ice Dogs.

Mike Sveinson is president of the club and says they have an historian coming into town this weekend.

“This weekend is going to have two tasks, one is to complete some interviews and the other one is to make contacts with other people for potential Zoom interviews down the road,” explains Sveinson.

Sveinson adds they do have an historian, Dr. Jordan Goldstein, coming in this weekend to conduct interviews.

“So a lot of those have been done by Zoom, but now he’s coming to Dryden this weekend to physically do interviews with people at the arena over our weekend set against Kenora.”

Sveinson ideally hopes a book will be out before the end of the season, and there will also be a digital history of the club than can be added to.
