Halifax police are warning residents of a high-risk offender living in the community.

49-year-old Gamon Jay Leacock has been released from a correctional facility after serving a sentence for over 20 convictions including:

• robbery (x 9)
• sexual assault with a weapon (x 2)
• forcible confinement (x 2)
• administer a noxious thing (x 2)
• uttering threats (x 6)
• criminal harassment
• escape lawful custody
• assault (x 2)
• assault a peace officer with weapon
• theft under $5000
• fail to comply
• fail to stop at a motor vehicle accident
• intimidation of justice participant
