You may see an increase in military activity in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Until October 21st, Canadian Armed Forces Special Operations Forces Command members will be in the Halifax, Lawrencetown, Waverley and Debert areas as part of a training exercise.

The Department of National Defense says you may see military aircraft and uniformed and non-uniformed military personnel with weapons.

Military officials say while members will be carrying weapons, only training ammunition and training explosives will be used.

The CAF says all efforts are being made to minimize disruption and increase the public’s safety, including close coordination with local law enforcement.
