You will want to give yourself some extra time if travelling along Route 1 in the Saint John area this week.

Gateway Operations said lane closures will be in place at various locations from Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 13.

That includes the westbound lanes from kilometre marker 134 (around the Fox Farm Road exit) to kilometre market 118 (around the Catherwood Street exit).

Also impacted are the eastbound lanes between the Somerset Street and Crown Street exits (kilometre markers 123 to 124).

“Motorists should expect delays … especially during morning and afternoon rush hours,” said Gateway Operations.
