Over 350 seafood professionals from 30 countries are gathering in Saint John this week.

The city is playing host to the 2023 Responsible Seafood Summit until Thursday.

It will focus on global collaboration for a healthy, responsible seafood community.

Officials say the summit is the largest international seafood business conference of its kind.

It is being co-hosted by the Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association and the Global Seafood Alliance.

The association received $200,000 in federal funding and $50,000 from the province to help put on the event.
