Voters in the Keystone province head to the polls today and pundits say the race is the NDP’s to lose.

Survey data shows 48 percent of decided voters in Manitoba would cast their ballot for the New Democrats.

Followed up with 39 percent for the governing Progressive Conservatives, who have held office since 2016.

An issue which has shot to national attention and had many Manitobans divided, has been the search of a Winnipeg landfill for the bodies of two Indigenous women alleged to have been victims of a serial killer.

A search which the PC’s have opposed in campaign ads.

According to Elections Manitoba more than 200 thousand eligible voters cast their ballots in advance polls, almost double the amount cast in 2019.

Polls are slated to close at 8:00 p.m. CST.
