Ceremonies are being held in Yarmouth for National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

Most of the events are happening throughout the day Friday.

It starts at 10 a.m. in Frost Park with students honouring our past and present, along with traditional drummers.

A peace feast and sacred fire, along with speeches from residential school survivors will take place at 4 p.m. at the Rose Purdy Recreation field.

Then at 6 p.m, a movie called ‘Bones of Crows’ will be played.

It’s Rated R, so only adults and older teens accompanied by a parent will be allowed.
