By Brad Perry Sep 28, 2023 | 4:00 PM

Hold off on filling up your vehicle’s fuel tank until Friday if you can.

An industry source says fuel prices will be going down at midnight.

The maximum price for gasoline is expected to fall around 6.5 cents per litre.

Diesel users can expect to see the maximum price go down by more than four cents per litre.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.89 per litre for regular self-serve and $2.14 per litre for diesel.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.75 to $1.79 per litre while diesel is selling for between $2.10 and $2.14 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.77 per litre while diesel costs around $2.12 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
