The victim in last week’s aggravated assault at a Robertson Street home has died from his injuries.

City police were initially called to the home around 7:30 a.m. on September 20th following reports of an injured man.

Upon arrival officers discovered the man in care of paramedics, he was taken to hospital for evaluation and treatment, while police began the investigation.

They then able to identify, locate and arrest a 24 year old Thunder Bay man later that day.

He was initially charged with Aggravated Assault.

However, on Wednesday the 63 year old victim died from his injuries, which has resulted in a charge of Second-Degree Murder.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in court Thursday.
