The Hollywood writers’ strike is over after 148 days.

The board members of The Writers Guild of America West and The Writers Guild of America East approved a tentative agreement with studios Tuesday night.

Officially ending the strike 12:01am September 27.

Members of the union will now vote on the three-year deal, between October 2 and 9, which includes pay increases between 3.5% and 5%.

Regulations on artificial intelligence was also included in the deal.

Many programs have been affected such as “Saturday Night Live”, day and late-night talk shows as well as game shows.

Scripted shows were also halted such as “The Mandalorian”, “The Last of Us” and the animated sitcom “Family Guy”.

Members of SAG-AFTRA, however, are still on strike. This means members will continue to not participate in production shoots, media events and fan conventions. In fact, 98% of its members voted to strike against video game companies if ongoing negotiations are not successful. Issues are much the same including pay and artificial intelligence.

SAG-AFTRA’s Canadian counterpart, ACTRA, supports the strike, which represents 28 ,000 performers.

Writers went to the picket lines May 2.
