Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the House of Commons today to make announcements in support of Ukraine.

Trudeau first announced mental health support for Ukraine but followed it with an even bigger announcement.

“We’re making a longer term, multi-year commitment that provides predictable, steady support to Ukraine,” said Trudeau to the House of Commons.

Trudeau explained the money will be used to fund 50 armoured vehicles, including medical evacuation vehicles, that will be built by Canadian workers in London, Ont.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Canada for the first time since the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. He extended thanks to the Canadian Government and citizens and ensured the House of Commons that Ukraine and justice will prevail.
