Queens County, Nova Scotia – The highly anticipated grand opening of the Etli-Militai’mk Playpark in Queens County, originally planned for September 21, has been postponed to October 11. This decision comes as a result of various factors, including the aftermath of Hurricane Lee, ongoing power outages, and the challenging weather conditions experienced throughout the year.

The Etli-Militai’mk Playpark promises to be a hub of community enjoyment, designed with inclusivity in mind to cater to individuals of all abilities. The Playpark will offer a universally-designed playground and a state-of-the-art Spray Pad, providing a safe and interactive space for residents and visitors alike.

Despite the setback, the community remains excited and eager for the rescheduled opening on October 11 at 1 pm. The name “Etli-Militai’mk” was thoughtfully chosen, translating to “We are playing here” in Mi’kmaq, reflecting the park’s commitment to providing a welcoming space for all.

The Etli-Militai’mk Playpark is set to become a significant asset to the community, and its rescheduled grand opening on October 11 is eagerly anticipated. The Playpark will provide an inclusive space for individuals of all ages and abilities to come together, enjoy, and create lasting memories.
