Enoki mushrooms sold by the company Super are being recalled from stores due to possible listeria monocytogens contamination.

Food that has been contaminated with listeria does not always look or smell spoiled or off, but it can still make you sick.

This recall is Class 2 which highlights the use of a product may cause temporary adverse health conditions with the chance of serious health consequences.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

This recall was initiated by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results, so far there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product.
