A 20 year old Rossport man and an 18 year old Ignace man have been arrested in connection to the theft of a commercial motor vehicle in Fort Frances.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to a Fifth Street West business in that community where the theft was reported on September 13th.

A few hours later officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba located the stolen vehicle, described as a semi-truck with no trailer, near Winnipeg, taking both of the accused into custody.

They were then transferred back to Ontario and to the Rainy River District Detachment.

Both men face the charges of:

• Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

They have since been released from custody and are scheduled to appear back in court on October 30th.
